Installation Test
The following steps are to be preformed by the dealer prior to the first milking. When using the
Control 72560 Detacher or stand
-
a
-
lone, the following will test the general operation of all valves,
cylinders, motors and controls.
Do not expose the Detacher Controls to high voltage, such as Cow Trainers! (High voltage
can damage the electronics).
1.
Turn power supply and vacuum source on, Connect stall cock connector to the stall cock. This
will bring power and vacuum to the detacher.
2. Verify the pulsator is operating correctly by using a vacuum recorder.
The pulsator should be operating within the ISO (International Standards
Organization
’
s) guidelines.
3. Verify in the attached mode that the detacher extends the retractor rope and the shutoff valve
allows vacuum to the claw.
4.
Verify in the detached mode that the detacher retracts the rope and the shutoff valve is closed
and there is no vacuum to the claw.
5. Verify that all control box screws and power cords connectors are tight to prevent moisture
leaks.
6. Consult with the dairy owner to be sure that the units are set up to give the desired take off or
end of milking signal performance.
7. Be sure that all 72560 controls are set

up the same.
8. If, using a stand
-
a
-
lone unit be sure under retractor type the unit is set
-
up as none. This will
allow the pulsator to continue to operate after the end of milking setting has lapsed.
