6 - WORKING OPERATIONS

Feed table drive chain and feed table belt inspection and adjustment

Feed table drive chain tension check and adjustment

After the feed table has been lowered and set up, before operating, check the tension of the feed table dive chain.
The drive chain is located on the cab side of the feed table.

The feed table drive chain should be tight (all slack removed). Adjust chain tension as needed.

Adjust feed table drive chain tension as follows:

1. Lower the feed table down to the ground.

2. On the cab side of the feed table, locate the hydraulic

drive motor

(1)

for the feed table belt.

3. Loosen the four nuts

(2)

holding the drive motor

mounting plate

(3)

to the side of the feed table.

4. Loosen the inner adjustment nut

(1)

and the outer lock

nut

(2)

on the adjuster rod

(3)

. Use the outer adjust-

ment nut t

(4)

o tighten the drive chain.

5. After drive chain is tight (all slack removed), tighten the

inner adjustment nut

and then the outer locknut

(2)

down against the outer adjustment nut

(4)

to hold the

adjuster rod

(3)

in position.
