Calculating the Total Days of Storage Available
This section includes a special equation to use in determining the number of days of data that can be stored
in the
ECHO monitor memory based on a specific application. Consider the following when calculating
the total days:
•
The monitor memory holds 3,784,704 bytes of data.
•
The log rate determines the number of readings taken per day. At a 5-minute sample rate, the monitor
will record 288 readings a day for a single entity. At a 1-minute sample rate, the monitor will record
1,440 readings a day for a single entity.
•
One entity reading consumes 6 bytes of monitor memory.
•
The date/time stamp for a reading is also equal to one reading.
•
Deduct 2 to 3 days from the total days of storage to compensate for additional overhead in memory.
