ADS ECHO Manual

Cinching Tether to the Top Rung

Note:

If the manhole location does not have rungs, install the tether using anchor bolts. Install a

¼-inch x 2 ¼-inch anchor bolt and secure the tether using an anchor cable tie. Then, attach to the
Mounting Bar.

Select the proper positioning for the Mounting Bar in the manhole frame, so that the sensor has a clear
view of the manhole invert. This will be dependent on the positioning of the invert.

The

ECHO

reading is taken near the front of the sensor, so it is important that this portion of the

sensor has a clear view of the manhole invert.

Point of Measurement

If the invert runs through the center of the manhole, the mounting bar should be installed parallel
to the flow, as shown in the diagram below.
