Chapter 3: Connectors and Indicators
The Adept SmartFleet EX appliance, shown in the following figure, can connect to many dif-
ferent peripherals. This section describes the connectors and indicators available.

NOTE : In a typical installation, while running either the Adept Enterprise Manager
or Adept Fleet Manager software on an Adept SmartFleet EX appliance, the appli-
ance will have only the 24 VDC power and the Ethernet connector attached.
In less common cases, one or both expansion slots will have GigE cards that may
be connected during normal use.

The Maint Eth port is only used during setup.

The connectors for mouse, keyboard, and monitor are for upgrades (uncommon).
This includes the USB connectors.

The serial and audio connectors are not used.
