Chapter 4: Configuration
4.11 Configuring a Robot to Connect to the Adept SmartFleet EX Appli-
ance
Before you can properly use the Adept Enterprise Manager or Adept Fleet Manager with your
mobile robots, you must configure each mobile robot to connect to the Adept SmartFleet EX. To
do so, you must connect to SetNetGo on each mobile robot.
NOTE : When a robot connects to the Adept SmartFleet EX, the Adept Enterprise
Manager or Adept Fleet Manager software will overwrite the robot's parameters.
1. Check the Central Server box.
2. Enter the IP address of the Adept SmartFleet EX, as shown:

3. Check the EnableCentralServerGatherScans box.
This lets the Adept Enterprise Manager or Adept Fleet Manager gather any scan files
created by the robots.
4. It's also a good idea to check EnableDeleteUnusedMaps.
This deletes unnecessary map files from each robot.
NOTE : All unused map files will be deleted from the robot if this is checked.
Make sure that any necessary map files are backed up.

Enabling Enterprise Manager
If you are using the Adept Enterprise Manager, you will need to enable this on each robot in
order for queueing to work. This is set with SetNetGo:
SetNetGo > Configuration > ARAM > Custom arguments
1. In the Custom arguments field, add:
-enableEnterpriseManager
2. Click Apply.
3. Wait for the software to restart.
