Error Log
The 6240B holds the error number in the error log memory when it detects an error.
1. Operation
A maximum of five memory areas are available for error logs and they operate as follows:
2. Clearing error logs
The error logs are cleared in the following conditions and the ERR indicator goes OFF.
•
Power ON
•
When reading the error logs (The error logs are cleared after displaying the error log screen and
completing the menu screen.)
•
When the ERR? or *CLS command is executed.
The error logs are not cleared by executing *RST.
3. Reading out error logs
Select the parameters,

on the menu screen.
The number of errors is displayed.
Press
to display the error contents.
Turn
to change the error log number.
An error message such as the one below appears if the entered value is set out of range.
• A maximum five error numbers are stored in the order of detection.
• If detection exceeds more than five, then the fifth error log is overwritten by the last error.
• The ERR indicator goes ON when an error log is stored.
