5.2.5.2

Restrictions on Switching Source Function

Switching the source function has the following restrictions:

1. While operating in the DC or pulse source mode, switching between Vs and Is causes Suspend status.

2. Switching between Vs and Is is impossible during sweep. They can be switched when the sweep is

stopped. Switching Vs and Is causes Suspend status.

3. Switching between Vs and Is is impossible in the low-resistance measurement pulse source mode.

5.2.5.3

Restrictions on Output Range

For the voltage and current output range, see Figure 1-1.

1. Restrictions on setting source value

The setting range of the source value is restricted as follows:

(*1) The pulse width and the duty are restricted as follows:

1. Restriction on the pulse width

2. Restriction on the pulse duty ratio

When the pulse duty ratio exceeds the following range, a duty over error occurs and the setting
is invalid.

Tw: Pulse width
Tp: Period time
Ip: Pulse source current
Ib: Base current

NOTE:

Calculate Ip and Ib as |Ip| and |Ib|.
If the polarities of Ip and Ib do not agree, calculate it regarding Ib=0.
