Using the Adaptec ATA RAID Management Software
Viewing Hard Disk Drives
From the Controller tab, select a Channel, then select a hard disk
drive. The right pane displays the Device Information you have
selected (see
Figure 5-8
).

Create Arrays
To create a RAID array, go to the Main menu and from the toolbar,
select a RAID array.
The Adaptec ATA RAID Management Software supports the
following RAID levels:
■
RAID 0—
Striping mode for boosting performance.
■
RAID 1—
Mirroring mode for data security.
■
RAID 0/1—
Mirrored Striping.
■
JBOD—
High capacity without redundancy or high-
performance features.
