Special CD/LASER Controllers - Devices which provide feedback to the keypads
If you are using a computerized CD library management system that is designed to operate on
the ADA Bus™, this section will also explain the programming associated for the library
controllers. Please note, that the Delta System can incorporate up to eight custom CD changers
including the ADA's PDF-3000 which reads and controls the Pioneer 100 Disc CD Changers
(PDF-100 and PDF-107). Both the computerized CD changer manufacturers and the PDF-3000
have specific instructions as to setting their address for "SPECIAL CD 1" through "SPECIAL
CD 8". Both the Delta-88 and the CD controller's addresses will need to match for the devices
to work properly.

Programming the Delta-88 for Special Source Control
As you proceed to program the Delta-88 source button to either control a VS-3 output or Special
CD Controller, you will need to know the address you wish to set that source button to. The
VS-3 addresses are listed above and will only work if the VS-3 and PCT-8 are set to the
corresponding addresses specific to the particular Delta-88 address you are about to program.
See both the VS-3 and PCT-8 installation manual for information regarding setting their
address. For CD Controllers, see the PDF-3000's cutsheet for setting its DIP switches to the
correct address or consult with the CD library manufacturer. To set the Delta-88's source
addresses, follow these steps.
1
Turn the Delta-88 on by pressing any room button followed by a source button.
Remember that power up takes a few moments.
2
Press and hold the Delta-88's LABEL button until its LED is lit. Once in the label mode
you will have five seconds to move to the next step before the Delta-88 automatically
times out of its programming mode. If the LABEL button's LED is off, you are no longer
in the program mode. You will not be able to access the Label Mode (Programming
Mode) unless the selected Delta-88 room is on to a source. If the source display reads
the words "RELEASE" and a number, press a source button to turn on that room.
3
Repeatedly press the Delta-88's PRESET button until "MODE 2 SETUP" appears in the
source LED readout.
4
Press the first source button associated with the special source device.
5
Repeatedly press the VOL UP button until the source display reads the appropriate
source address. If you passed the required address use the VOL DN button to return
to it.
6
Once the address for the first source is set on the Delta-88, press the next source button.
7
Press the VOL UP button so the display reads next source address. Repeat these steps
