MC-0038
Hand Held Infrared Remote Control
To connect the MC-0038 to the Delta System's ADA Bus™:
1
Remove the bottom cover by unscrewing the rubber feet on the MC-0038.
2
Using the special four pin data connector (provided with the MC-0038), connect the
MC-0038 directly to an open "J" connector on the WH-3000.
3
Turn the Delta-88 on by pressing any room button followed by a source button.
Remember that power up takes a few moments.
4
Press and hold the Delta-88's LABEL button until its LED is lit. Once in the label mode
you will have five seconds to move to the next step before the Delta-88 automatically
times out of its programming mode. If the LABEL button's LED is off, you are no longer
in the program mode. You will not be able to access the Label Mode (Programming
Mode) unless the selected Delta-88 room is on to a source. If the source display reads
the words "RELEASE" and a number, press a source button to turn on that room.
5
Press the PRESET button until the source display reads "MODE 3 PRGRM".
6
Press the Delta-88's ALL button. The source display will quickly read
"PROGRAMMING"......"PROGRAMMED".....and then the source name selected to that
room.
7
Remove the special MC-0038 to ADA Bus™ cable and keep it in a safe place should you
need to reprogram the system (and therefore the MC-0038) some time in the future.
8
Replace the bottom of the MC-0038 and the rubber feet.
9
Test the MC-0038.
Please note, in order for the MC-0038 to operate, you must be aiming it at an active IR receiver
which can include an indoor MC-3000, MC-3800, or IRT-3000. If you are not getting the MC-
0038 to operate check the following in this order.
1
Make certain that the MC-0038 is not controlling another room other than the one you
are in. If it is, you will need to reset the MC-0038 DIP switches.
2
Make certain that the MC-3000 or MC-3800's IR receiver is active. Press and hold the
keypad's SHIFT button until "ENTER CODE" appears. Type in the code "1, 1, 1, 2" and then
repress SHIFT. The display will read "INFRARED ON" or "INFRARED OFF". Repeated
entering of the "1, 1, 1, 2" code will toggle the keypads IR on and off.
3
If the MC-0038 is not controlling anything and the IR receiver is active, you will need
to recheck the DIP switch settings such that the MC-0038 is programmed to work the Delta
System or the Delta System with SSD-66 (for home theaters).
