Delta System Installation (cont.)
the primary Delta-88. When using more than two Delta-88's this programming will need to be
done for the first primary Delta-88 as well as the third Delta-88. When using more than four
Delta-88's, this programming will need to be done on the first, third, and fifth Delta-88. Again,
typically this is done at the factory however, this may need to be redone at the job site. There
are several Delta-88 address settings for the PCT-4 or PCT-8.
The Delta System can operate with two PCT-8s or PCT-4s and therefore each device will be set
to a specific address. To verify or set a PCT-8 address see the PCT-8's Installation Manual. To
verify or change a PCT-4's address see the instructions in the Appendix for the PCT-4. When
programming the Delta-88, the source address settings will indicate whether you are program-
ming a source to the first or second PCT-8 (or PCT-4) address. The name of the control device,
PCT-8 or PCT-4, will be followed by a "1" or "2" indicating the address required to access a
particular PCT-8 or PCT-4. If the source is on the first PCT-8's port #1, the Delta-88's source
address will display as "PCT8 1 OUT1". If the source is on this PCT-8's second output (port
#2), the correct Delta-88 address would be "PCT8 1 OUT 2". To check/program the primary
Delta-88, follow these steps.
Programming the Delta-88's 8 Source Buttons for a PCT-8 or PCT-4.
1
Make certain that the Delta-88s and keypad are connected to the WH-3000. In order for
the Delta-88 to download information to keypads (program the keypads), the keypads
must be connected to the WH-3000. Again, since it is best to build a system, one room
at a time, only the Delta-88(s), one keypad, the MT-3000, and the PCT-8 (or PCT-4)
should be connected to the WH-3000(s) at this time.
2
Turn the Delta-88 on by pressing any room button followed by a source button.
Remember that power up takes a few moments.
3
Press and hold the Delta-88's LABEL button until its LED is lit. Once in the label mode
you will have five seconds to move to the next step before the Delta-88 automatically
times out of its programming mode. If the LABEL button's LED is off, you are no longer
in the program mode. You will not be able to access the Label Mode (Programming
Mode) unless the selected Delta-88 room is on to a source. If the source display reads
the words "RELEASE" and a number, press a source button to turn on that room.
4
Repeatedly press the Delta-88's PRESET button until "MODE 2 SETUP" appears in the
source LED readout.
5
Press the first source button associated with the first source/PCT port number. It will
be important to know what sources are connected on the specific PCT-8 or PCT-4 port
numbers. Please note, that for example, source #4 on the Delta-88 may not have to be
on port #4 of the PCT-8. The linking of PCT-8 source port number to Delta-88 source
input number is set in programming and is fully variable.
6
Repeatedly press the VOL UP button until the source display reads the appropriate
PCT-8 or PCT-4 port number (i.e "PCT8 1 OUT 4" for a source on a PCT-8 set to address
#1 connected to port 4). If you passed the required address use the VOL DN button to
return to it.
