System Reset
Resetting the Net-Net 6300 via the front of the chassis performs a cold reboot. This
is the equivalent to disconnecting the power from the system and then reconnecting
it. There is no orderly termination of tasks, and the system shuts down abruptly. You
should only reset the Net-Net 6300 when it becomes unstable and no other means
of gaining administrative control is possible.
During a system reset, certain files are not closed properly, and they may become
corrupted. Depending on what files become damaged, the system might become
completely unusable.
Caution Always try to first reboot the Net-Net 6300 from the ACLI
before performing a cold reset. Only reset the system as a last
resort.
To reset the Net-Net 6300:
Insert a rigid paperclip-sized tool into the small hole on the front of the chassis
beneath the graphic display. The system immediately resets and begins its
initialization and boot sequence.
