1 Overview
1.1 Introduction to ABB-Welcome IP
ABB-Welcome IP is an IP door communication system for building communication. The range of
functions starts from video and audio transmission, intercom, concierge function, access control
function and goes up to the integration of IP cameras. ABB-Welcome IP requires its own IP
network.
ABB-Welcome IP offers a safe and easier operation while at the same time retaining a high
cyber security standard. The entire communication in the ABB-Welcome IP system is carried
out encrypted. This includes video and audio communication, text messages as well as remote
access via MyBuildings and the ABB-Welcome
®
App (Android and iOS). In addition, ABB-
Welcome IP offers a future-safe update function via MyBuildings.
The ABB-Welcome IP can be used for major objects where many participants, entrances or
several buildings with large distances exist. In addition, theABB-Welcome IP can be used in
single residential buildings. This always requires an own structured building cabling. Here
private apartments are a separate network segment with an own structured cabling. These are
connected with the building network via the "ABB-Welcome IPTouch 7"".
Performance features
Up to 999 buildings each with 64 floors and 32 residential/office units can be portrayed in a
ABB-Welcome IP system. Here 64 outdoor stations per building can be portrayed (in the
perimeter area 32 outdoor stations and up to 32 outdoor stations in the private area).
The ABB-Welcome IP also offers:
