The following table describes the labels in this screen.
8.8.6 IPv6 Global Address Setup
Use this screen to configure the interface’s IPv6 global address. Click the link next to
IPv6 Global
Address Setup
in the
IPv6 Configuration
screen to display the screen as shown next.

LABEL
DESCRIPTION
Interface
Select the IPv6 interface you want to configure.
Link-Local Address
Manually configure a static IPv6 link-local address for the interface.
Default Gateway
Set the default gateway IPv6 address for the interface. When an interface cannot find
a routing information for a frame’s destination, it forwards the packet to the default
gateway.
Apply
Click
Apply
to save your changes to the Switch’s run-time memory. The Switch loses
these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the
Save
link on the top
navigation panel to save your changes to the nonvolatile memory when you are done
configuring.
Cancel
Click
Cancel
to begin configuring this screen afresh.
Clear
Click
Clear
to reset the fields to the factory defaults.
Index
This is the interface index number. Click on an index number to change the settings.
Interface
This is the name of the IPv6 interface you created.
IPv6 Link-Local
Address
This is the static IPv6 link-local address for the interface.
IPv6 Default
Gateway
This is the default gateway IPv6 address for the interface.
