WAN
7.1 Overview
This chapter discusses the Zyxel Device’s
WAN
screens. Use these screens to configure your Zyxel Device
for Internet access.
A WAN (Wide Area Network) connection is an outside connection to another network or the Internet. It
connects your private networks such as a LAN (Local Area Network) and other networks, so that a
computer in one location can communicate with computers in other locations.
3G and 4G standards for the sending and receiving of voice, video, and data in a mobile environment.
You can insert a 4G SIM card and set the Zyxel Device to use this 3G/4G connection as your WAN.

7.2 What You Can Do
• Use the
WAN Management
screen to configure 3G/4G WAN connection settings (

• Use the
Network Scan
screen to specify the type of the mobile network to which the Zyxel Device is
connected and how you want the Zyxel Device to connect to an available mobile network (
).
• Use the
IPv6
screen to configure the Zyxel Device’s IPv6 settings (
).
• Use the
PIN Management
screen to enable or disable PIN code authentication (
