42.4 Restore a Configuration File

t he configurat ion file on t he Sw it ch, so your backup configurat ion file is aut om at ically r enam ed
w hen you r est or e using t his scr een.

Use t his scr een t o save and st or e your cur r ent device set t ings.
Backing up your Swit ch configurat ions allow s you t o cr eat e var ious “ snap shot s” of your device fr om
which you m ay r est or e at a lat er dat e.
Back up your cur r ent Sw it ch configurat ion t o a com put er using t he Ba ck u p Con figu r a t ion scr een.
Apply
Click Apply t o save your changes t o t he Sw it ch’s r un- t im e m em or y. The Sw it ch loses
t hese changes if it is t urned off or loses pow er, so use t he Sa v e link on t he t op
nav igat ion panel t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory w hen you are done
configur ing.
Cancel
Click Ca n ce l t o begin configuring t his scr een afr esh.
Fir m war e
Choose t o upload t he new fir m ware t o ( Fir m war e) 1 or ( Fir m war e) 2 .
File Pat h
Type t he pat h and file nam e of t he firm ware file you w ish t o upload t o t he Sw it ch in t he
File Pa t h t ext box or click Br ow se t o locat e it .
Upgrade
Click Upgr a de t o load t he new fir m ware. Fir m war e upgrades ar e only applied aft er a
r eboot . To r eboot , go t o M a n a ge m e n t > M a in t e n a n ce > Re boot Sy st e m and click
Con f ig 1 , Con fig 2 or Fa ct or y D e fa u lt ( Con fig 1 , Con f ig 2 and Fa ct or y D e fa u lt
