The follow ing scr een show s an exam ple w her e you configur e a classifier t hat ident ifies all t raffic
from MAC addr ess 00: 50: ba: ad: 4f: 81 on port 2.
Aft er you have configured a classifier, you can configur e a policy ( in t he Policy scr een) t o define
act ion( s) on t he classified t raffic flow.

pr ior it y. For ex am ple, you configure a layer- 2 it em ( VLAN I D) in classifier A and configur e a layer-
3 it em ( sour ce I P addr ess) in classifier B. When an incom ing packet m at ches bot h classifier r ules,
classifier B has pr ior it y over classifer A.

defined t im e int er val.

Select t he lengt h of t he t im e per iod ( in seconds) t o count m at ched packet s for a classifier r ule.
Ent er an int eger fr om 0- 65535. 0 m eans t hat no logging is done.
Apply
Click Apply t o save your changes t o t he Sw it ch’s run- t im e m em ory. The Sw it ch loses t hese
changes if it is t ur ned off or loses pow er, so use t he Sa v e link on t he t op navigat ion panel t o save
your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em or y w hen you ar e done configuring.
