6.3. DTU Functional Application
Scenario Introduction
The R800 LTE Router system full allows for the DTU access requirement and can provide DTU-similar transparent data
transmission.
This scenario is the DTU transmission in the WAN, with a transmission protocol of the TCP, on serial devices simulated by
SSCOM serial assistant, which may be RTU, PLC, etc in practice, as shown in Figure 6-3-1.

The DTU server may be connected to the public network (by mapping the router address to the DTU server through the NAT),
with the TCP enabled on the server, R800 LTE Router as the TCP client and the DTU serial device to receive and send data.
Parameter Configuration
Under this scenario, you need to configure the "DTU", as provided in "5.3.3 DTU Configuration". See Figure 6-3-2 and Figure
6-3-3 for the parameter configuration.
