ABS+EBD
ABS (anti-skid brake system)
In case of emergency braking, the vehicle with ABS can adjust the
brake pressure by electronic control unit that ABS can prevent wheels
from locking when braking on skid road or emergency braking and
the wheels can still rotate under braking mode, in order to ensure the
stability of braking direction and avoid the side-slipping and
deflection. This improves the driving safety.
In addition, ABS is also provided with self-diagnosis function to
monitor the system operation. Once any fault which may affect the
system operation is found, ABS will be automatically closed and ABS
alarm lamp will be lit to remind the driver. At this time, the
brake system of the vehicle can function as normal brake system.
While ABS is working, you may feel that the brake pedal slightly
vibrates. When ABS fault indicator does not light up when
engine is being started or does not go out after lighting up or lights up
in traveling, it means the some part of ABS system is failed. Please
contact the authorized service station as soon as possible for
inspection of vehicle.
As for the vehicle without ABS, when the front wheels are locked up,
the vehicle cannot steer, but slides forwards along the braking
direction.
