A standard part of the delivery is the set of dedicated special keys, provided for the adjustment or
disassembly of specific components of the BOV crimping head. The keys' purpose is as follows:
9312.46.004.0 – special double-end key intended for dismount of lower sleeve [Fig. 9,
pos. 1], which can come in two sizes, depending on the can diameter it cooperates with.
One end of the special key supports the sleeve for cans diameter up to ø35 mm. The second
end supports the sleeve for cans diameter from ø36 to ø66 mm.
9312.46.003.0 – special key intended for dismount of can sealing [Fig. 9, pos. 3] from the
lower sleeve [Fig. 9, pos. 1].
9312.46.000.0 – special double-end key for inner sleeve [Fig. 9, pos. 6] and outer sleeve
[Fig. 9, pos. 7]. The bigger end of the key allows to dismount the outer sleeve or to adjust
its position (i.e. adjust the crimping height). The smaller end of the key allows to adjust the
inner sleeve (which affects the tightness of holding of BOV valve during pre-gasifying/UTC
filling).
9002.46.002.0 – the so called “lamellar key” - special key intended for crimping jaws. It
allows to adjust the crimping diameter or to dismount the crimping jaws.

The correct selection of the parameters below ensures crimping reliability and tightness. It must be
also considered, that the crimping diameter adjustment always causes the crimping height change.
On the other hand, the crimping height adjustment does not cause the crimping diameter change.
Due to this fact, the following sequence of actions must be observed:
1. Using 8 mm flat key remove the Lower sleeve lock (Fig. 9, pos. 2).
2. Using the correct end of special double-end key 9312.46.004.0 delivered with the machine,
unscrew and remove the lower sleeve unit (along with can sealing and the nut) - Fig. 9,
pos. 1 + pos. 3 + pos. 4. The lower sleeve has holes cut from the bottom for the pins of the
key.
