Directory Number
is the number to dial to reach the station. The default number can be
changed to any 2-8 digit number starting with 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Numbers with first digit 6-9
are reserved for functions. If these numbers should be used, the corresponding function
code must be changed.
•
Display Text
is the station ID text shown in the called station’s display.
o
The text should normally be the station location or the subscriber’s name. The
maximum number of characters is 16 including the station directory number.
•
Visibility
can be set to
Local
or
Global
. Visibility is related to AlphaNet when cluster
programming is used.
o
Local
: station can be addressed inside the node only.
o
Global:
station can be reached from all nodes in a cluster.
A cluster is a subnet of a network and consists of a number of defined nodes.
•
Station Type
is used to define the type of station on the actual physical number.
o
Master Station
is the default option. This setting will automatically detect the type
of station connected.
o
Sub Station
should be selected for stations with limited keypad and PA couplers
to avoid e.g. “call me” messages.
o
Display Station
can be selected to ensure faster and safer line error detection on
stations with displays.
Other special station options can be selected to obtain optimal performance and programming for
the relevant stations.
•
CCoIP
or
SIP
stations are selected by ticking the appropriate checkbox.
•
The
CCoIP Station
checkbox results in a field for MAC address and a checkbox for
registration with directory number.
o
ICX-500 can use both methods for identifying an IP station.
When configuring an IP station in AlphaPro, you must select which methods to use to identify the
IP station. The advantage of using registration by directory number is that it is easier to replace
the station at a later stage as this does not require new settings in AlphaPro.
