10 Troubleshooting
10.1 Faults (with messages)
Faults are indicated as system information on the control unit
display. The user is also alerted by short audible signals.
Note: Follow the instructions given.
Warning message: Remedy the fault according to the
troubleshooting table below.

If a fault occurs that cannot be remedied by the actions recom-
mended in the following tables, contact ZEISS service and
indicate the error ID displayed.
u
Label the system as being out of order, remove the key from
the key switch and pull the power plug.

Door switch
Door contact is open.
u
Shut the door or check that the
shorting plug is correctly plugged into
the yellow socket.
Laser stop switch
The laser stop switch is locked.
u
Unlock the laser stop switch.
Connect error of physician's
safety filter
u
Check that the slit lamp and the OPMI
surgical microscope (ENDO
physician's safety filter) are correctly
connected and properly inserted.
Fiber not connected
u
Check that the fiber optic cable is
properly inserted and screwed in
tightly.
Trigger not connected
u
Check that the foot switch or the slit
lamp are properly connected and
completely inserted.
Temperature check
Temperature of the laser
console is too high.
u
Ensure that the cooling apertures of
the laser console are not blocked.
u
Ensure that the ambient temperature
does not fall below 35°C.
Power warning
The internal monitoring has
identified that the actual laser
power output deviates from
the target power output
selected on the control panel
by more than 20 %.
u
Notify ZEISS Service if the warning is
repeated.
Trigger is pressed
For safety reasons it is not
permitted to change the
treatment mode when the
trigger is active.
u
Release the trigger to continue
working.
