12.3 Connect the door contact isolator to the laser
console
NOTE! The door contact isolator may only be connected to
the VISULAS green laser console.

Action 1. Remove the connector from the interlock port of the laser
console and connect the plug of the doorlock isolator with this
port.
2. Connect the door interlock of your laser warning lamp with a
3.5 mm jack plug (mono) to the output socket of the door
contact isolator. The contact must be operated in floating
mode (potential-free).
NOTE! The connection must be installed with strain relief to
prevent the plug from being inadvertently pulled out of the
socket.
NOTE! The door contact of the ZEISS laser warning lamp may
be connected without a door contact isolator directly to the
interlock socket for door contact.
NOTE! If the door interlock is used from a third-party
supplier, it is urgently required to use the door contact
isolator.
12.4 Physician's safety filter
CAUTION!
Hazard due to laser radiation
During laser treatment with a surgical microscope, the physician's
eyes may be harmed by laser radiation.

Equip the surgical microscope with a physician's safety filter.
u
Have the physician's safety filter be fitted by a trained and
authorized service technician.
