The following illustration shows a typical laser endoscope. The
mechanical prerequisite for the use of an endoprobe together with
the VISULAS green is the availability of a standard SMA socket.

SMA connection
Connection of the laser endoprobe to the laser console is described
in Section Connecting the laser endoprobe [
Light transmission of laser endoprobes may vary from supplier to
supplier. If you change your laser endoprobe supplier, make sure
that your local ZEISS service engineer measures and stores the
transmission of the new laser endoprobe. This will enable the
proper output power indicated on the graphical user interface of
the control panel.
When using endoprobes observe the user manual for the respective
laser endoprobe.
