Lamp failure of halogen light source
The lamp housing contains a backup lamp which can be manually swung
into the illumination beam path when the first lamp fails. The open flap (1)
indicates that the backup lamp is in operation.
• Press button (2) to manually swivel the backup lamp into the beam path.

The open flap (1) indicates that the backup lamp is in operation.
• Replace the defective lamp at the first opportunity (see Page 224).
• If the backup lamp is defective and replacement is not possible, continue
surgery using an external OR illuminator.

CAUTION Risk of burns!
In the event of overheating, the lamp switches off automaticall.
When the lamp has cooled down, it switches on again automatically.
If the microscope is positioned unattended above the patient, the patient
can be burnt due to the heat generated.
• Immediately activate the backup lamp after a lamp failure or switch
off the light source completely.
• Check if the light source is switched off before leaving the device
unattended.
