Variant 1: Select "Last name + first name" in "Patient data mode",
see Page 187.

A virtual keyboard appears prompting you to enter the last name.
• Please enter the patient's last name.
The name can be no longer than 15 characters.
• To save the entry, select the "OK" key.

A virtual keyboard appears prompting you to enter a first name
(for the requirement, see “Patient data mode*” on page 187).
• Please enter the patient's first name.
The name can be no longer than 15 characters.
• To save the entry, select the "OK" key.
Variant 2: Select "ID" in "Patient data mode" see Page 187.

A virtual keyboard appears prompting you to enter an ID.
• Enter the ID for the patient.
The name can be no longer than 15 characters.
• To save the entry, select the "OK" key.

The Patient directory is displayed.

The new patient has been created and is active immediately.
3 Rename
You can use "Rename" to rename a patient.
• Use the control keys to select "Rename".
• Select a patient using the control keys .
• Confirm the selection by pressing the <enter> key or .
