Safely Remove a USB Storage Device
Double-click the USB Ports icon ( ) in the lower right of all screens to see the USB S

). To safely remove a USB storage device, click the Eject button
to the right of the device before you remove a USB storage device from the Matrix. You can
only safely remove the USB storage device if it is not currently being accessed. The
message, “The USB storage device may now be safely removed” will be displayed if you
can safely remove it.

Note: If a USB storage device has a light that indicates “in use”, this light is NOT
extinguished by the Matrix after the user selects the Eject button.
CAUTION: Always use the Eject button to remove a USB storage device, and only
when it is reported safe to do so. Otherwise, you may damage or corrupt data on
your USB storage device.
