6. Focus the sample.
Try to focus away from the sample to avoid any
collision between the objective and sample.
7. Turn the knurled button of the aperture di-
aphragm to a medium position.
8. Adjust the knurled knob on the field diaphragm
so that the field diaphragm becomes visible in
the field of view

9. Use the focus drive to readjust the focus on the
edge of the field diaphragm
