1.1 Information About This Operating Manual
This operating manual contains information for the entire life cycle of the Feedback
Option Module for Sigma-5 Series and Sigma-7 Series SERVOPACKs.
The Feedback Option Module is available in different versions:

SGDV-OFB01A-
supports encoders with serial and SIN/COS interfaces.

SGDV-OFB03A-
supports encoders with A quad B.
n
SGDV-OFB04A-
supports resolvers.
Be sure to refer to this manual when performing design and maintenance in order to
select and setup devices correctly.
A copy of the source language manual is provided with all translated versions of this
manual. If the translation contains unclear passages or inconsistencies, the original
source language manual must be consulted for clarification and the manufacturer must
be informed before the product that was purchased is used.
Figures provided in this manual are typical examples or conceptual representations.
