Removing Jammed Paper Inside Cover B
(Duplex Unit Cover)
If a paper jam occurs inside cover B (duplex unit cover), remove the jammed
paper according to the steps below.
A paper jam message for cover B (duplex unit cover) is displayed when the Duplex Unit (optional) is
installed.
Procedure
1
Open paper tray 5 (bypass tray) (1),
and slowly open cover B (duplex unit
cover) (2).

Push up the lever as shown in the
illustration (1), and remove the jammed
paper (2).
If the paper is torn, check whether any pieces of paper are
left inside the printer.

Return the lever to the original position
(1), and close cover B (duplex unit
cover) (2).
If necessary, fold tray 5 (bypass tray) (3).
