Loading paper into Trays 1
through 4
The following example shows how to load paper
into Tray 1. Use the same procedure to load paper
into trays 2, 3, and 4.
Important
• Do not remove paper from or add paper to the paper
trays during printing. Doing so can cause paper jams.
• Make sure that the power is on when loading paper.
1.
Pull out the tray until it stops.
2.
Squeezing the top guide clip, slide it towards
the front of the tray.
3.
Squeezing the side guide clip, slide it
towards the right side of the tray.
4.
Load the paper with its print side facing up
and its leading edge aligned with the left side
of the drawer.
Important
• Do not load paper of different types into the tray. Doing
so can cause paper jams.
• Do not load paper above the maximum fill-line. Doing so
can cause paper jams.
5.
Align the top and side paper guides so they
are lightly against the paper.
Note
• When loading standard size paper, slide the guides so
they are aligned with the applicable size on the scale.
6.
Gently slide the tray back in as far as it will
go.
