The Control Box Assembly:

Is located underneath the RCP when the mast is fully nested.

Has eight locations with cable grips for cables used as described in Figure 2-12.

Includes knockouts that can be used for additional customer cables if necessary. For a
standard installation application, it will NOT be necessary to use any of these knockouts.
If any of these knockouts are used, customer-supplied cable grips should be installed to
keep the Control Box Assembly sealed. The cable grips require an O-ring or equivalent
gasket seal.

Is IP66 rated for water and dust ingress
2.6.2.1 Partially Extend the Mast Manually
When electrically installing the system, it may be necessary to partially extend the mast
manually in order improve access to the Control Box Assembly. The manual override shaft is
accessible at the back of the actuator. Manually extending the mast requires a
⅜ inch drive 8
inch flexible drill extension. Will-Burt recommends Snap-On P/N: BLPEXTF388 or equivalent.
This flexible tool is only required for the initial travel until the knuckle clears the rear of the
actuator. Once clear a straight 6mm hex wrench can be used for manual extension and
retraction. Applying a small upward force on the knuckle helps reduce the torque required to
move the mast when using the flexible extension.
To manually extend that mast:
1. Ensure all power is removed from the Actuator.
2. Locate the seal plug screw at the back of the Actuator. There may be a label covering
the screw. If necessary, remove the label to access the screw.
3. Remove the screw at the back of the Actuator with a star drive bit.
