2.8.3. Danger of crushing and squeezing
You may encounter considerable harm by crushing and squeezing:
While swiveling drill in and out.
Only swivel drill into the machine if no body part is within the swiveling area.
During driving drill and clamping tool back and forth.
Only drive branch clamping tool and drill back and forth if no body part is
within the driving area.
Do not touch the guiding rods at the machine.
During drilling if the main pipe is not clamped or not tightly clamped.
Check prior to drilling whether the main pipe is properly clamped into the left
clamping tool.
You may crush your fingers resp. be beaten by the turret upon release of the
clamping lever during which the machine is under pressure.
Hold the turret with one hand and only then release the clamping lever.
During the transport of the machine.
Swivel in the drill, fix it within the clamping tool and shut machine table.
2.8.4. Danger of cutting and drawing-in by drilling device
You may encounter cutting injuries and even fractures, the knives are very
sharp!
Wear safety gloves, especially while removing the chips.
Only remove chips if the drilling machine is switched off.
Wear tight-fitting clothes.
Do not wear rings or jewelry during work.
If necessary wear snood-type cap.
Keep away others from the drilling area.
Do not reach between drill and clamped pipe ends.
Make sure that the drill does not draw-in any clothes.
Take special attention during the transport of the machine; necessarily swivel
in drill and close machine table.
2.8.5. Danger of injury by chips / remaining pieces / noise
Do wear safety glasses during drilling!
Never remove chips if the drilling machine is running.
Do wear an ear protection during drilling!
