Drilling:
Clamp the main pipe into the left clamping tool.
In order to carry out drilling swivel the drill between both clamping tools and fix it into the right
clamping tool.
The spring load of the basic machine is deactivated.
Now drill the hole into the main pipe by means of the drill.
Afterwards, drive the drill backwards and remove it from the clamping tool.
The spring load of the basic machine is activated again.
Welding:
Put the branch pipe into the right clamping tool, align it to the main pipe and clamp it.
The cleaned and heated heating element is brought in and the pipes are pressed against the
heating element under defined adjusting force. This process is called
"adjusting"
.
The applied force can be read on the scale.
After the prescribed bead height being reached, the force is reduced, the
heating time
begins.
The function of this time is to heat up the pipe ends.
After expiration of the heating time, the slide is opened, the heating element is removed out
quickly and the pipes are driven together again. The time gap from the removal of the heating
element to joining the pipes is called
change over time
.
The pipes are joined under prescribed welding force and then cool down under pressure
(
cooling time
).
The welded pipes can be released, the welding process is finished.
