The positive terminal of the device connects to the square pad on the PWB. This same
convention is used for all other electrolytic capacitors on the board.
– Install C102, C106 –
100 µF, 25 V electrolytic
. Solder in place, observing proper
polarity.
– Install C103, C107 –
2700 pF, 100 V ceramic
. Solder in place.
– Install C104, C108 –
0.01 µF ceramic, 100 V
. Solder in place.
– Install C109, C117, C131*, C133* –
47 µF, 50 V electrolytic
. Solder in place, observing
proper polarity.
– Install C110, C115, C116, C118, C132*, C134* –
2 µF, 50 V electrolytic
. Solder in place,
observing proper polarity.
– Install C111, C119 –
0.047 µF, 50 V polyester
. Solder in place.
– Install C112, C120 –
0.0022 µF, 100 V polyester
. Solder in place.
– Install C113, C114, C121, C122 –
10 µF, 25 V electrolytic
. Solder in place, observing
proper polarity.
– Install C123, C126, C136* –
0.01 µF disc, 1 kV
. Solder in place.
– Install C124 –
1,000 µF, 35 V, electrolytic
. Solder in place, observing proper polarity.
– Install C125 –
4,700 µF electrolytic, 63 V
. Insert this component into the PWB and then
bend the pins to the side to provide for a good electrical and physical connection to the
board. Be certain to observe proper polarity. Solder in place.
– Install C127, C128, C129, C130, C135* –
10 µF, 50 V, tantalum
. Solder in place,
observing proper polarity.
Clean the soldering iron tip.
– Install D101 –
Zener, 24 V, 5 W
. Solder in place, leaving about 1/4-inch clearance above
the board. Observe proper polarity. Note that the cathode (banded) end goes to the square
pad on the PWB. This convention is used for all diodes on the preamplifier board.
