Baseline Performance Measurements
As mentioned previously in this section, performance measurements on the sub-assemblies that
comprise the 20 W Stereo Integrated amplifier are not necessary, since the product is operated as
a system. For maintenance or troubleshooting, however, baseline performance measurements on
the major sub-assemblies can be useful.
The following sections include performance measurements of the major circuit blocks in
isolation. Unless otherwise specified, the test procedures used to take these measurements are the
same procedures detailed previously in this User Manual.
7.6.1
Preamplifier Module
The preamplifier module consists of three major subdivisions: the phono preamp, front panel
auxiliary input buffer, and the tone-control stages.
Bench baseline measurements for the phono preamp are listed in Table 7.5. Readings given
are typical for either channel.
