– Prepare a 4-inch long #18 yellow wire. Attach a quick-disconnect terminal to each end.
Secure one end of the wire to the
LOAD
terminal on the left channel speaker terminal
PWB.
– Identify the Normally Open (NO) contact on left channel speaker relay RYL2. Connect
the yellow wire from left channel LOAD terminal to the
NO
post on RYL2.
– Find the 4-inch long #18 yellow wire from the left channel speaker terminal. Identify the
Normally Closed (NC) post on left channel speaker relay RY-2. Attach the yellow wire to
the
NC
post.
– Prepare a 4-inch #18 yellow wire. Attach a quick-disconnect terminal on each end.
– Attach one end of the yellow wire just assembled to the
COM
post on right channel
speaker relay RYL1. Attach the other end to the
OUT
post on the right channel speaker
PWB.
– Prepare a 4-inch #18 yellow wire. Attach a quick-disconnect terminal on each end.
– Attach one end of the yellow wire just assembled to the
COM
post on left channel speaker
relay RYL2. Attach the other end to the
OUT
post on the left channel speaker PWB.
– Find the
black
common lead from the left channel output transformer. Connect the
terminal to the
T1com
post on the left channel speaker PWB.
– Find the
green
4 Ω lead from the left channel output transformer. Connect the terminal to
the
4ohm
post on the left channel speaker PWB.
– Find the
yellow
8 Ω lead from the left channel output transformer. Connect the terminal to
the
8ohm
post on the left channel speaker PWB.
– Find the
white
16 Ω lead from the left channel output transformer. Connect the terminal to
the
16ohm
post on the left channel speaker PWB.
5.5.11.4 Headphone Jacks
On the headphone jacks, there are three terminals—commonly known as
tip
,
ring
, and
sleeve
.
Identify each of the terminals. This can be done by a visual inspection of the socket, or with an
ohmmeter. Note that:
