20 W Stereo Integrated Audio Amplifier
– Insert the Molex socket into the
CONN106
connector on the preamp daughter board
PWB. Note that pin 1 of the Molex socket faces the rear of the chassis.
– Combine the two free shield wires and twist them together. Connect to the common post
on the
Front Panel Auxiliary Input
jack, J102. Solder.
– Identify the white wire that goes to the #1 position on COMM106. Connect to the
tip
terminal on the
Front Panel Auxiliary Input
jack, J105. Solder.
– Identify the white wire that goes to the #3 position on COMM106. Connect to the
ring
terminal on the
Front Panel Auxiliary Input
jack, J105. Solder.
– Prepare an 18-inch long audio cable. Attach connector pins to each of the two wires (the
white wire and the shield) on one end of the audio cable. Insert the connector pins into a 4-
conductor Molex socket housing as follows: white to position #1 and shield to position #2.
– Cut two short pieces of small heat-shrink tubing, each about 3/4-inch long. Place the
tubing at each end of the audio cable. Process.
– Prepare an 18-inch long audio cable. Attach connector pins to each of the two wires (the
white wire and the shield) on one end of the audio cable. Insert the connector pins into the
4-conductor Molex socket housing as follows: white to position #3 and shield to position
#4.
– Insert the Molex socket into the
CONN107
connector on the preamp daughter board
PWB. Note that pin 1 of the Molex socket faces the rear of the chassis.
– Cut the free shield wires on the two cables from CONN107. They will not be used.
– Identify the white wire from position #1 on COMM107. Connect to the #3 (right) position
on switch SW101. Solder.
– Identify the white wire from position #3 on CONN107. Connect to the #3 (left) position
on switch SW101. Solder.
– Prepare a 17-inch long audio cable. Attach connector pins to each of the two wires (the
white wire and the shield) on one end of the audio cable. Insert the connector pins into a 4-
conductor Molex socket housing as follows: white to position #1 and shield to position #3.
