The BEL 270 is equipped with an electrical air supply and dump valve controlled by the on-off switch circuit.
Switching off the machine will exhaust compressed air in the machine circuit. It also has a combined filter /
regulator / lubricator (FRL), which should be checked daily to ensure that the lubricator reservoir is filled, air
pressure is regulated to the proper setting, and that any water is drained from the filter.

DJUSTMENTS
There are six basic adjustments for size changes (refer to figures 1 & 2 below):
1.
Box width adjustment
– use the side mounted hand crank to move both side belt conveyors and top flap
Snap Folders
in and out to fit the width of the box. ( Refer to 1.4.1 )
2.
Box height adjustment
– use the top hand wheel to move the machine head assembly up and down for
proper operation of the Snap Folders and place the center ski is close to the top of the box. (Refer to
1.4.2)
3.
Center ski adjustment
– use the lock handle on top of the ski to adjust it toward or away from the
machine in-feed depending on the case flap length. ( Refer to 1.4.3 ).
4.
“Folder” [
Snap Folder
] Dwell Timer Control [Controls Enclosure]
– controls the
Snap Folder
on-
delay time. The folder needs to be actuated long enough to direct the major flaps past the top glue gun and
under the flap guides on either side of the compression press.
5.
Glue pattern adjustments
– the length and interval of the glue bead pattern can be adjusted by
repositioning the glue limit switches on the conveyor cover and adjusting the glue timers in the controls
enclosure. (Refer to 1.4.5 ).
6.
Hot Melt Glue Unit
– Refer to operating instructions included with the hot melt unit.
CAUTION: Shut off the machine before making adjustments.
