6.2.2 Signal Generator Disassembly Procedure
1.
Open the cover of the gear housing (the back of the signal generator (4))
2.
Dismount the nut (9), separate the signal generator (4) from the gear house (7).
3.
Remove the nut (1), remove the signal generator (4) from the gear house.
4.
Remove the inner hexagon screw (6), separate the speed sensor (5) from the signal generator
(4).
6.2.3 Signal Generator Assembly Procedure
1.
Install the speed sensor (5) into the signal generator (4), tighten the hexagon bolt (6).
2.
Install the stud (3) into the gear house.
3.
Make sure that the O-ring in the gear house is good.
4.
Install the signal generator (4) into the gear house, tighten the nut (1).
5.
Install the timing gear (7) into the signal generator (4), tighten the screw (9).
6.2.4 Signal Generator Disc Adjust Procedure
1.
Adjust the crankshaft to TDC: the first cylinder piston should be in its compression stroke.
Tighten the connecting bolts between the pump gear and signal generator.
2.
Tighten the hex nuts between signal generator and engine block
3.
Adjust the fluted signal generator disc until its TDC mark points at the center of the speed
sensor and the predetermined ignition angle is reached
4.
Tighten the locknut on the signal generator fluted disc.
5.
Tighten the hex nuts on the signal generator cover plate, The torque is

6.2.5 Inspection and Maintenance of Signal Generator
1.
Check for damage to the signal generator shaft threads.
