CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
8.1
CLEANING
8.1.1 CLEANING PERSONNEL
Cleaning work should be undertaken regularly and carefully by qualified and trained personnel.
They should be informed of specific hazards during their training.
The following hazards may arise during cleaning work:
– health hazard from inhaling powder lacquer,
– Use of unsuitable cleaning tools and aids.
8.1.2 CLEANING PROCEDURES
Switch off the system and secure against unauthorized reactivation.
The cleaning intervals should be adapted by the operator depending on the level of use
and if necessary the level of soiling.
If in doubt, we recommend contacting WAGNER's specialist personnel.
8.1.3 CLEANING THE PERISTALTIC PUMP
Work steps:
1. After loosening the lateral spring clips on the catch funnel, with the fan extraction
and peristaltic pump switched on, swivel out approximately to the halfway point
under the cyclone.
2. Sweep the residual powder off the wall of the funnel towards the opening in the floor.
3. Wait until the residual powder has been fed from the peristaltic pump system to
the powder tank (e.g., powder feed center).
4. Swivel the collection funnel under the cyclone again but do not tension it
(do not swivel the sieve in with it).
5. Set switch on the main control cabinet to "0".
6. Decouple powder feed hose in the powder feed center and couple it to the blow-out
device on the powder feed center.
7. Switch on the blow-out device for the hose cleaning.
8. Blow out funnel underneath the cyclone.
