Remote video is poor
Possible causes for this problem are:
•
The video settings (color, hue, contrast and brightness) could be incorrect.
Ask someone at the remote site to adjust these settings.
•
Inadequate lighting at the remote site.
•
Dark backgrounds at the remote site.
•
The display may not be operating in 16-bit or 32-bit color mode.
•
Functions that require a lot of bandwidth are being performed; e.g., a lot of
movement in the video window.
Remote video is jerky
The probable cause for jerky video from the remote site is that the remote site has set
the CODEC quality setting to a low frame rate. This setting will produce a clearer
picture, but will cause the frame rate to decrease. Ask the remote site to adjust the
CODEC quality setting.
If the remote site is a WG500, CODEC quality may be adjusted in the Control
Interface. See “Accessing the Control Interface” on page 4.12.
Remote video is too dark
The probable cause for this problem is that the video settings (hue, color, contrast and
brightness) are incorrect. Ask someone at the remote site to adjust these settings.
If the remote site is a WG500, CODEC quality may be adjusted in the Control
Interface. See “Accessing the Control Interface” on page 4.12.
