Troubleshooting
This appendix provides solutions for some of the most common problems that might be
encountered with the WG500 system.
It is also recommended that you use the online Help for additional troubleshooting
solutions. To access online Help, click in the video window with your right mouse
button and select
Help
from the pop-up menu, or press the
F1
key.
If you need more assistance, contact your technical representative.
Software troubleshooting
The AppsView software was pre-installed on your WG500 system, however if you find
that you need to re-install it at any time, simply follow these instructions.
1.
Insert the AppsView CD-ROM into the DVD drive.
2.
The CD-ROM will start automatically.
3.
Follow the setup instructions as they appear on the screen.
You will need to select your appropriate language, as well as the 3 BRI setting.
4.
When installation is complete, reboot your computer when prompted.
ISDN troubleshooting
In the scenarios below, the Advanced Configuration Program is a stand-alone program
that can be run independently of AppsView. Choose
Start>Programs>Vtel>Advanced
Configuration

The first time you try to dial, the call drops immediately
Verify your ISDN SPID numbers on the
Network Type
tab of the Advanced
Configuration Program. Call your ISDN network provider and verify your SPID
information.
