Chapter 2.  Setting Up Your System

Connecting the ISDN lines 

Locate the three ISDN RJ-45 cables in the VTEL peripherals box. Insert one end of all 
three cables into the codec/IMUX board.

Packaged with the RJ-45 cables is a sheet of numbered stickers. VTEL recommends that 
you use the stickers to flag the wall jack (or other ISDN source). It is important to know 
which ISDN line is inserted into each connector on the codec/IMUX board. You may be 
required to enter the SPIDs and/or DNs for each line during initialization of the 
AppsView software, depending on the telephone company switch.

8. Installing options

There are four optional components available with the WG500 system:

•

wide angle lens

•

modem

•

second PTZ camera

•

composite out video

Wide angle lens

The wide angle lens attachment simply screws onto the lens of the Sony D30/31 PTZ 
camera.
