Engine Status Warning

The engine status warning or Malfunction Indicator
Lamp (MIL) will provide you with visual and audible
indications of any faults that may be occurring in the
emission control system. This warning will be accom-
panied by the buzzer. For additional information,

.
There are four possible combinations of icons:
A.
Single engine application; MIL active
OR
Port side display on twin engine application; MIL
active
OR
Starboard side display on twin engine applica-
tion; MIL active
B.
Twin engine application; both MILs active
C.
Twin engine application; port MIL active
D.
Twin engine application; starboard MIL active
When the MIL becomes active, acknowledge the warn-
ing, then follow any on-screen instructions for dealing
with the problem.

In the EVC Basic Display, the MIL warning
A
is an icon
that appears in the lower right portion of the screen in
conjunction with the warning triangle symbol
B
.
The MIL warning icon always appears in the EVC
Basic Display when the ignition is first turned to
key on position. The icon disappears when the
engine is started unless there is a fault logged in
the system.
