8.4.3.
Defects on the film due to the unit
The experience from field problem observed on the Rotograph EVO has
allowed to list under this chapter some possible typical problems that
can affect the radiological quality.
8.4.3.1. Panoramic film too light
The PAN film results in a light one also if the exposure parameters are
correctly selected for the patient size.
Possible causes:
•
Cassette holder not in panoramic position
Check that the cassette holder is in panoramic position and that the
optical sensor B6 is correctly functioning. The optical sensor has to
sense the correct position when the cassette holder is closed;
possibly adjust the position of the switch.
NOTE:
Take care that the position of the optical sensor B6 determines also
the perpendicularly of the beam to the cassette. The adjustment of
B6 has to be performed carefully.
