Copy Settings
Use the Copy Settings command to copy the current input setup (brightness, contrast,
aspect ratio etc.) from the active memory to one or more other memories.
•
Select ALL to copy the current input setup to all other memories and inputs.
•
Select ALL MEM A to copy the current input setup to the ISF Night memory for all
inputs.
•
Select ALL MEM B to copy the current input setup to the ISF Day memory for all
inputs.
•
Select ALL MEM C to copy the current input setup to the MEM C memory for Inputs
1 through 4.
•
Select ALL MEM D to copy the current input setup to the MEM D memory for Inputs
1 through 4.
•
You can also copy the current input setup to a single memory location. For example,
to copy settings to the ISF Night memory for Input 4, select “IN4A.”
Side Gray-Bar Level
To increase viewing comfort and minimize the possibility of image burn-in, you can adjust
the intensity of the side gray bars that are displayed when viewing 4:3 material (refer to Table
4-1). To do this, select Side Gray-Bar Level from the Installation menu. The range is from 0
(black) to 49 (light gray). The default setting is 3 (dark gray).
Vertical Rate
Select Vertical Rate from the Installation menu to change the vertical refresh rate, to
correspond to PAL (50 Hz) or NTSC (60 Hz) signals.
LCD Setup
Select LCD Setup from the Options menu to change the following settings for the front-panel
LCD.
Backlight:
When Backlight is set to ON, the LCD turns on and off according to the behavior
you specify with the “Toggle LCD Behavior” command (
MENU 0 9 2 5
); refer to Table 4-2.
When set to OFF, the LCD is always off.
Contrast:
Select Contrast from the LCD Setup menu to adjust the LCD contrast for optimum
readability. The range is 0 to 10; the default setting is 5.
Input Display
When you select an input on the VDP-80-720, a message appears on-screen to indicate which
input you selected. To prevent this from happening, select Input Display from the Options
menu and set it to OFF.
Lock
To prevent unintended changes, you can lock each input configuration. When locked, the
input selection keys function normally, but setup parameters are fixed.
To lock the configuration, select Lock from the Options menu and set it to LOCKED.
Power Management
Auto:
Select Auto from the Power Management menu to configure the VDP-80-720 to turn
on (ON) or enter standby mode (STANDBY) when you connect it to a power source.
Greeting:
You can have the VDP-80-720 display a personalized welcome message when it is
turned on. To do this, select Greeting from the Power Management menu and follow the
on-screen instructions. The left- and right-arrows (

) select which character to change;
the up- and down-arrows (
,
) change the selected character.

You must enable Service Mode before you can change the Vertical Rate
setting. To do this, press
