Each RAID set has been fully deleted from the GigaStor unit.

How to build new RAID sets

Create a new RAID array set in the Areca interface, and then prepare the new

volume in Windows so it can be read and written to.

Prerequisite(s):

This procedure assumes you have already deleted your RAID set(s).

By following these steps, all RAID sets and volumes are made. Part of this process

includes

foreground initialization

that prohibits you from interacting with RAID

sets before initialization completes. It can take many hours for initialization to

complete, and during that time the RAID is not available.
To build new RAID sets:

Go back into

ARC-1883IX-24 Web Management

, and select

Raid Set

Functions

Create RAID Set

Select all 24 disk drives available, select

Confirm the Operation

, and click

Submit

In the leftmost panel, select

Volume Set Functions

Create Volume Set

Set the following options and values shown below:

Initialization of the RAID should now begin.

The RAID sets are now initializing, and this can last many hours. Return to the

instructions when all initializations are finished.
