Script Files in ACON Ultra
C.1
Script Files.
NOTE:
The script files are for information only and require no action on the part of the
user.
It is sometimes desirable to view one of the test point sets in a tabular format. The Script files provide a
mechanism within the
AU
framework to view this information. Script files are advanced features of
ACON
Ultra
that allow the different sets of test points to be extracted from the projector’s configuration file in a
format that is readable, and editable, by a user. The script files contain information such as
active/inactive test points, test point motor coordinates, test point visibility settings.
The information is either extracted (export) from the projector’s configuration file (“.SAV” file) or written
into (import) the projectors configuration file. Once the operation has been completed, the information
contained within the script file is a separate entity. Changes to the script file do not impact the
configuration file settings, until they are imported back into the system. Conversely, changes made to the
configuration file are not reflected in the script file unless the original file is overwritten.
When exported from the
ACON Ultra
GUI, the files are automatically saved with a “.TXT” extension;
however, each of the fields for a test point uses a comma (“,”) as the record separator. A single test point
is stored on a single line. These files can be imported into Microsoft Excel, or any other spreadsheet
environment that handles comma delimited text files (“.CSV” files).
1. Importing and Exporting files from
ACON Ultra
user interface.
To Import or Export a script file from the
AU
user interface, perform the following steps:
a. Select a projector
b. Select “Setup
> Projectors Configuration
”
c. From the Projector Configuration dialog, select
Convergence Order
,
TPGeom
Center
, or
TPGeom Screen
from the
Scripts
listbox. Except for the “
FModel Geom
Seed
” option, all other options are future features.
d. Press the adjacent
Import
or
Export
button
e. Select or type the desired filename

Each of the three Test Point Script files contains slightly different information; however,
each defines the test point set completely. Each contains a unique identification tag for
each test point listed. Each also contains data fields that allow configuration of the motor
coordinates as well as the visibility settings for the test point.
•
In the two Geometry Test Point script files, there should be two records (lines) for each
configured test point – this pair is always stored in the script file sequentially. The first
record holds the measurements for the horizontal readings of the test point and the
second record holds the measurements for the vertical readings of the test point. The
record that holds the horizontal test point also configures the motor coordinates and the
visibility settings for the test point. The record that holds the vertical test point relies on
the location information from the previous horizontal record.
Below are sample files for the two geometry test point scripts and the convergence script files.

The test points in the Convergence test point set are referenced by their related
convergence zone. Zone 4, 2 is the center of the raster and is the Static Convergence
zone (all other zones are labeled Dynamic Convergence zones). The next column
